Hi Tom,
I am currently running version 1.23.9.07 A200x built on June 15, 2007. I am running under Windows XP. I bought a new machine and on the new machine I am running Windows 8.1 Pro 64, with Office / Access 2013. Before I get myself into trouble, can I install this same version on the Windows 8.1 machine and move my catalog over? If not, do you have a specific version that will work under Windows 8.1 and that will read my existing catalog? Thank you again for a great program, and for the help.

Gregory,
Release 1.23.13.04 works with Windows 8 64-bit and Access 2013 32-bit. More at http://www.dvdregister.com/download.htm Your current DVDR Desktop version will not install on Windows 8 and Access 2013.
As far as I know, no one has tested 1.23.13.04 with Windows 8.1. However I give it a good chance that it will work on Windows 8.1. If you installed the 64-bit version of Office then there is no version of the DVD Register Desktop that will work.
You will need to make a backup file of you catalog (File>Export>Backup...). It is required to migrate your catalog from the old to new PC.

Hi Tom,
I must have the 32-bit version of Access 2013 because everything worked. I downloaded the release, unzipped it with the password you gave me, installed it, applied catalog updates 220-224, and went through the procedure to backup and then import my catalog. It all worked just great. All installs should be this painless. I had 252 records and all of them came in just fine.
If I am the first one to install this version on Windows 8.1 Pro 64, I can tell you for sure that it works just fine.
Thank you once again, sincerely.

I'm running 1.23.13.04 in Windows 8.1 64-bit and Access 2007. I did have to re-install the app after upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1. I was able to then import my backup with no issues.
